Spend just a bit of time answering questions about your family, values, and lifestyle to get personalized options for everything you need in the first three months with baby. We do the work to narrow thousands of baby products to just the ones that fit your lifestyle, making it easier and faster to make decisions.

Because we've been exactly where you are—47 browser tabs deep, spiraling about whether that stroller is actually worth the huge price tag, and wondering if we're overthinking a diaper pail. We built The Starter Set because we wanted what didn't exist: someone to cut through the noise and show us the right options for our family, so we could make decisions without the research headache.
We start with products parents actually love—including trusted brands like Graco, Fisher-Price, UPPAbaby, and Halo, backed by strong reviews and guidance from established parenting sources.Then we use AI to personalize those options based on what you told us matters to you: your budget, your space, your lifestyle, your values.We're not paid by brands to push specific products. Free during Beta—$20 after. That's less than a single baby item and way less than what most parents spend on unused gadgets or buying the same thing twice because they second-guessed their first choice. But here's what you're really getting: peace of mind. The relief of crossing "figure out registry" off your list. Hours back in your day. Do you receive commissions from the products you suggest?
Not today. We may use affiliate links in the future to keep The Starter Set running. Regardless, commission rates never influence recommendations—your choices are based on fit, quality, and parent feedback.

No problem. Use The Starter Set to fill in gaps, double-check decisions, or find better matches for items you're unsure about. You're in control—keep what works, swap what doesn't.
How does the personalization work?
Spend five minutes telling us about your family, preferences, and priorities. We use AI to match you with options from our curated database of highly reviewed, parent-approved products including trusted brands like Graco, Fisher-Price, UPPAbaby, Halo and more. Your results reflect what you value—whether that's minimizing clutter, budget, sustainability, or premium design.
How long does it take to get my recommendations?
Five minutes to answer questions. A couple minutes to receive personalized options across 80+ product categories for 0–3 months. Compare that to weeks of research, dozens of hours reading reviews, and lingering uncertainty.
What exactly is included in my personalized list?
You'll get three tailored options for 80+ product categories—everything from car seats to swaddles to diaper bags. Based on what you tell us, we organize products into: likely need, might need, and likely don't need. For each product, you'll see what it is, why parents use it, when it's optional, and what alternatives exist.
What age range do your recommendations cover?
The first three months—when product decisions feel most unfamiliar and overwhelming. We plan to support additional milestones as we grow.
Can I update my preferences after I submit them?
You can't edit initial answers yourself yet. If a recommendation doesn't fit, tell us more at the end of each product row—we'll provide updated options. For broader changes, email info@thestarterset.com.
Do I have to buy everything on the list?
Not at all. Get what fits. Skip what doesn't. Buy new. Find second-hand. Accept hand-me-downs. We're here to reduce stress and save time—not pressure you to buy more.

Where can I get the products on my list?
Anywhere you choose. We provide retail links for convenience on your Favorites page, but you're free to shop or register wherever you like.
Can I add items that aren't included?
Absolutely. If a friend recommends something, a family member gifts you an item, or you find something you love add it wherever you are registered and feel free to hide that row in your recommendations. The Starter Set is a smart starting point, not a rigid list.
Do you cover second-hand/used products?
We provide links to buy new, but you can source products however works best—second hand, Buy Nothing groups, hand-me-downs, or gifts. Your call entirely.
Can I use this if I'm having twins or multiples?
Yes! We ask specifically if you're expecting multiples and tailor recommendations accordingly—double strollers, extra feeding supplies, products that make sense for managing multiple babies.
Does this work if I'm not a first-time parent?
